What Is The GoldStarPak?

The GoldStarPak is a FREE, easy and convenient way to sort and organize your multi-dose Prescriptions & OTC medications in an all inclusive blister pack.

With GoldStarPak™ all your medications are organized into individual packets that are color-coded and labeled with the medication, day, date and time to be taken to improve convenience and reduce confusion and the risk of medication errors. By taking your medications correctly with the GoldStarPak™ packets you are more likely to stay well, make fewer clinic visits and reduce hospitalizations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What medications can be filled in GoldStarPak™?
Your routine maintenance Prescription and OTC medications like Vitamins and Supplements can be packaged in the GoldStarPak™. We cannot package the following medications: soluble medications and certain antibiotics. Your pharmacy team will discuss your medications with you and determine what will be packaged.

I only take one medication. Can I still have it packaged in the GoldStarPak™?
Yes you can still use DailyPackRx if you only have one medication. However, it is more beneficial to use it when you have multiple medications.

Can “half tablets” be packaged in the GoldStarPak?
Yes.

How do I receive my GoldStarPak™ prescriptions?
Your GoldStarPak™ will be delivered to you monthly or we can mail them to you complete FREE of charge.

Will receive safety information and instructions with my GoldStarPak?
Yes, you will receive complete information on precautions, drug interactions and side effects just as with any other prescription.

What will I receive each month with GoldStarPak™?
Each Month, you will receive 28 days worth of your medications for the next month in the neatly packaged GoldStarPak.

What happens if I get a new medication in the middle of the month?
Your new prescription will be filled with only enough medication to get to your next refill date, and the rest will be packaged with the rest of your medications in the GoldStarPak™ each month going forward.

All my medications are filled on different days. Can I use The GoldStarPak™?
Yes. You will be enrolled in the SyncMyMeds Program. We will work with your insurance provider and physician to get all your prescriptions on the same schedule. We will contact you and coordinate the first date for your GoldStarPak™. Your medications will be synchronized during your first month of enrollment. Following the initial period, your prescriptions will be filled in GoldStarPak™.

How will I know when to take my medication?
The GoldStarPak™ packet tray is color-coded and labeled with the medication day, date and time to be taken to improve convenience and reduce confusion and the risk of medication errors. Yellow for Morning, White for Noon, Orange for Evening and Blue for Bedtime. Tear off the packet for the correct date and time and take the medications in the packet. The next dose will be ready for you!

Can I get my 60 or 90 day prescription filled in the GoldStarPak™ packaging?
We currently only offer a 30 day supply of GoldStarPak™. With all your medications organized together, and possible changes in your prescription routine, it is necessary to provide no more than 30 days of medication to reduce and eliminate waste. We can fill 60 or 90 day supplies through our Ready Refill program and dispensed in vials.

What do I do when I run out of medication?
Your GoldStarPak account manager will call you approximately 10 days before your next medication delivery date to find out if there have been any changes to your prescriptions. That way, your next GoldStarPak fill will reflect any changes. Thus you should never run out of medication.

I have multiple residences for Winter and Summer. How will I get all my meds for the whole year?
During your monthly discussion with your GoldStarPak account manager, your delivery options will be confirmed and your GoldStarPak will be delivered to the address you request.

What should I do if I forget to take a packet or miss a dose?
As with most medications, it may depend on how long it has been since you should have taken your dose. You should contact your pharmacist if you have any questions.

Can I return my GoldStarPak if something changes or I decide I don’t want to continue taking the medications?
No. The GoldStarPak is like any other prescription in that once it leaves the Pharmacy, by Law, it can not be returned.

Where should I store my GoldStarPak™?
As with all medications they should be stored out of reach of children. GoldStarPak™ is not child safe packaging. Do not store box in hot or humid conditions. Keep in a dry spot and out of direct sunlight.

I have my prescriptions filled by mail order or VA, can I have my prescriptions filled in GoldStarPak™?
You will have to contact your insurance company and let them know that you want to receive your medications packaged at your local GoldStar Pharmacy and talk through the options to see if that would be possible.

Will my prescriptions cost more with GoldStarPak?
No. GoldStar Pharmacy's prices are competitive and your prescription co-pays will be exactly the same as what you will normally pay for your prescriptions.

Will my insurance cover the GoldStarPak?
GoldStar Pharmacy accepts most prescription insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. We work closely with you and your insurance company to ensure that there are no issues and that the appropriate prescription plan is billed. So you get it for FREE with your prescriptions.

What is the monthly cost of the GoldStarPak™ Program?
There is no cost to you for the program. It is completely FREE

How do I pay for my GoldStarPak™ prescriptions?
You may pay by cash, check, debit or credit card.

How do I sign up for GoldStarPak™?
You can Enroll Online By Transferring Your Prescriptions or talk to your GoldStar Pharmacy personnel at 1-844-GLD-STAR (1-844-453-7827).
